Data deletion

VinLens collects the minimum data needed to run VIN reports, mileage verification and 查博士 proxy orders. You can ask us to remove any of it at any time — no retention tricks.

1. Your account

Sign in and visit your account page, then choose Delete account. This immediately removes your Supabase Auth user and the personal profile attached to it. We also delete:

  • All saved VIN reports under your user id.
  • Your 查博士 order history and contact details.
  • Any in-flight mileage-verification orders you submitted.

2. Uploaded 行驶证 (vehicle-registration) photos

Photos you upload to the mileage tool are sent directly to the Tanshu service and are not stored on our servers after the result comes back (typically within minutes). The matching mileage order row is retained for 90 days for support purposes, then purged. If you need it removed immediately, email us with the order id from the result page.

3. VIN query history

VINs you look up while not signed in are kept only in your browser's local storage and never reach a server-side history table. Clearing them is instant — use the Clear control next to “Recent lookups” on the home page, or clear site data in your browser. When signed in, viewed reports are stored under your account and removed together with the account.

4. Request manual deletion

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@vinlens.app from the address on the account. We respond within 30 days and confirm when deletion is complete. Include the VIN or order id if the request is about a specific lookup.
