Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2024. By accessing VinLens you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VinLens, including the Factory Specifications, Mileage Verification, EV Battery Health, Accident & Insurance and 查博士 (ChaBoShi) ordering tools (collectively the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Description of service
VinLens aggregates vehicle-related data from third-party providers including Tanshu and 查博士. We do not manufacture, sell or warrant vehicles. The Service is an information and ordering layer; reports are supplied "as available" from upstream providers.
When a provider is not configured, VinLens displays deterministic demo data marked with a "DEMO PREVIEW" banner. Demo data is illustrative and must not be relied upon for any real purchase, sale, financing or insurance decision.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass any person;
- Submit documents or images you do not have the right to process;
- Resell, scrape or bulk-query the Service without written consent;
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits or provider quotas;
- Upload malware, unlawful content, or documents containing sensitive data beyond what is required for the query.
4. Orders and payment (查博士 / ChaBoShi)
Orders placed through /chaboshi are subject to these additional terms:
- Prices are listed in CNY and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- In the current preview environment, payments are simulated (
PAY-…identifiers, status "paid"). No real card is charged. A production gateway will be introduced before commercial launch; existing orders will not be retroactively charged. - Reports are delivered within the estimated window shown at checkout (typically 6–24 hours). Delays caused by the upstream provider are outside our control but we will keep you informed by email.
- Refunds for completed reports are handled per the 查博士 cancellation policy; contact support within 7 days if a report is materially incomplete.
5. Accuracy and disclaimer
Vehicle data is sourced from manufacturers, transport authorities, insurers and telematics providers and may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. VinLens does not warrant that any report is error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. You must independently verify any information that affects a purchase, sale, financing or insurance decision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
6. Limitation of liability
VinLens and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill or data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Intellectual property
The VinLens website, design, trademarks and original content are owned by VinLens. Third-party provider names including 查博士 and ChaBoShi are the property of their respective owners. Reports you order are licensed to you for internal, non-commercial use.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or create legal risk for us. Saved reports and order history are deleted on request, subject to retention required by law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the site banner or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VinLens operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
